VolunTeen Talk-Up Session

December 3 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm CST

@

All high school students seeking opportunities for community service are invited to sign up for the Library VolunTeen program.

Talk-Up sessions are held on the first Wednesday of each month from 4 PM to 5 PM. These sessions allow teens to develop leadership skills while helping the library staff know more about what teens think is needed in Berryville and how the library might help. The aim of each session is to develop new library and community projects to place in the VolunTeen Project Binder.

Work sessions are offered every Tuesday after school until the library closes and Saturday mornings from 9 AM to 12 PM. These sessions are drop-in opportunities. Teens only need to come when they want to get some community service hours logged. Teens will pick a project from the VolunTeen Project Binder that suits their interests and work on it only for the amount of time they choose on that day. Note: there may be some projects that can be done outside the library on a teen’s own time, for those seeking community service hours outside of these designated work session times.

All time spent in VolunTeen sessions count as community service hours. The Library VolunTeen program runs from October 1 through May 15.

To find out more information or sign up to be a Library VolunTeen, teens can stop by the library anytime.
